EARTH HOUR 2010 - it is right now! Turn the lights off!
Article in Polish, but perfectly describing nonsense of this one hour happening. Not only power plants will decrease electricity production for one hour, but after this hour network may be overloaded by people that will turn on all devices in one time. If you want to save energy - do it every day - one hour a year won't change anything.
Jarek, thank you for commenting! Don't panic though, Earth Hour is not about saving the planet in 60 minutes :D, it is a symbolic mobilization. Ciekawie stwierdzasz, ze mimo faktu ze odsylasz do artykulu po polsku, to jest zrozumialy dla ogolu. Z doswiadczenia wiem, ze jak ktos nie rozumie po polsku, to nie rozumie po polsku.
